IAEA grants

The IAEA is generally not in a position to bear the travel and other costs of participants in the meeting. The IAEA has, however, limited funds at its disposal to help meet the cost of attendance of certain participants. Such assistance may be offered upon specific request to normally one participant per country provided that, in the IAEA’s view, the participant on whose behalf assistance is requested will make an important contribution to the meeting. The application for financial support should be made at the time of nominating the participant. If Governments wish to apply for a grant on behalf of one of their experts, they should ensure that applications for grants are:
  • Received by the IAEA Scientific Secretary by 15 July 2015
  • Accompanied by a duly completed and signed Grant Application Form (Form C)
  • For a participant whose contribution has been accepted.
The countries eligible for TC assistance which participate in regional projects RER1007 (Europe), RAF1005 (Africa), and RAS1019 (Asia Pacific) may submit the request for TC support (TC form) through their respective NLOs.
Applications that do not comply with these requirements will not be considered. The grants awarded will be in the form of lump sums and will be paid prior to the meeting. Grants for financial support will be announced around 15 August 2015.
