Description

The B factories have been built to study CP violation in the B-meson system and probe the flavor sector of the Standard Model (SM) via measurement of the elements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix. We present today recent results on CP violation in B- and D-meson decays obtained with the BABAR detector. Among these the first observation of mixing-induced CP violation in B0->D_CP(*)h0 decays, where h0 is a light neutral meson, and the neutral D meson is reconstructed in decays to two-body CP eigenstates K+K-, K0Spi0 and or K0Somega. This measurement has been obtained with a simultaneous analysis of the combined data sets of Belle and BABAR. We also present a new determination of three CPT-sensitive parameters Re(z), Im(z) and |A/Abar|, where A and Abar are the amplitudes for B0 -> c cbar K0 and B0bar -> c cbar K0bar decays, respectively. This analysis makes use of the CP-violating parameters Ci and Si measured by BABAR in a previous analysis that brought to the observation of violation of time-reversal symmetry in B0 -> J/psi K0 decays.
