After the big success and positive feedbacks of the educational session at the previous ECPM in Groningen, we decided to continue these lectures also this ECPM.
The educational session will be organised at May 9, 2012 and encompasses an interesting program for young accelerator physicists, engineers and students. Also those who are considering other applications of their machine or a new cyclotron may benefit from the lectures. The outstanding level and enthousiastic involvement of the teachers (all confirmed their participation) will guarantee an interesting session!
The lectures will be devoted to two major themes: A) Basic Physics and Techniques, B) Special Topics and New developments
A) Basic techniques and Physics:

5) reliability and life-cycle of accelerators; Samuel Meyroneinc (Institut Curie - CPO)
6) high intensity and high power aspects of cyclotrons; Mike Seidel (PSI)
7) physical issues at size reduction of cyclotrons; Wiel Kleeven (IBA)
