New concepts in ultra fast data acquisition

Since modern photon detectors can generate tens of GBytes of data per second, synchrotrons and XFELs are having to make significant efforts to integrate new detectors and to develop ultrafast data acquisition systems. In the future this situation will become even more pronounced.
In this workshop, jointly organized by the detector groups of ESRF and PSI and integrated in the framework of the European EUCALL project, we will bring together developers involved in different aspects of data acquisition (data transfer, online processing, data storage) for high data rate detectors and create a platform where they can present new concepts, discuss implementations and exchange experiences.
Key note speakers from industry (IBM, Mellanox, Nvidia and Xilinx) are also invited.
