Over the past five years, my specialization has focused on simulating devices using 2G superconducting tapes and volumes. Developed models for fault current limiters, employing finite elements and lumped parameters, including saturated iron core and resistive types. Additionally, I explored the simulation of magnetic levitation systems with superconducting materials and superconducting electrical machines. Throughout these efforts, I worked with finite element formulations such as H, H-A, and T-A, and contributed to the development of the recently proposed JA formulation. Furthermore, I applied PSO, GA and Nelder Mead algorithms together with finite element models to optimize the saturated iron core fault current limiter.
